Coffee Market Overview
“The Coffee Market is estimated to increase at a CAGR of 4.67% from $ 116.17 Billion in 2023 to $ 175.78 Billion by 2030.”
Coffee, a dark, bitter, and acidic beverage made from roasted coffee beans, is known for its stimulating effects due to its high caffeine content, and the hot beverage industry has the largest global sales.
Green coffee beans are roasted and crushed into small particles before being soaked in hot water. Coffee can be served hot or cooled, and can be made in various ways like espresso, French press, caffè latte, and canned already-brewed coffee. To improve taste, sugar, sugar substitutes, milk, and cream are often added to disguise bitterness or enhance flavor.
Coffee plants are grown in tropical regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa, with over 70 countries producing coffee. Brazil was the top producer in 2018, accounting for 35% of global production.
Unroasted coffee is traded as food. Despite billions of dollars in sales, many coffee producers live in poverty. The coffee industry faces criticism for environmental impact, land removal, and water consumption.
The guide provides a detailed guide on the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee.
A cup of coffee contains varying amounts of caffeine, depending on the type, serving size, and bean variety. Coffee is the largest dietary source of caffeine, with a typical cup containing 95 milligrams, ranging from 0 to over 500 mg, depending on the type of coffee drink.
